Southwest Suburban Immigrant Project is a social impact organization committed to community organizing for the rights of immigrants in Chicago’s southwest suburbs through education, civic engagement, and advocacy.

The mission of the Chicago Housing Initiative (CHI) is to amplify the power of low-income Chicago residents to preserve, improve, and expand low-cost rental housing, stabilize communities facing displacement, and advance racial and economic equity and inclusion across all of Chicago’s diverse neighborhoods.

The Southwest Organizing Project’s (SWOP) mission is to build a broad-based organization of Christian, Muslim and Jewish faith institutions, local schools and other institutions in Southwest Chicago, which will enable families to exercise common values, determine their own future and connect with each other to improve life in their neighborhoods.

We have been serving the community for 23 years, uniting and leading the Pilsen community. Pilsen is a community of immigrants, here we decided to join our efforts to create a strong and resilient community in these times of change. We are committed to bringing the best community education tools and programs, our campaigns are direct actions and advocacy initiatives that reflect the popular education philosophy of building social awareness for both collective and personal transformation.
